At present practically every car maker has an access to the same technologies. It means that now car manufacturers are competing with each other on how quickly they can develop, produce and launch new models. About 15 years ago it took five years to design and launch a new car. Now it takes about 1,5 years.
But in fact all cars are basically the same. You pay $30,000 and you get practically the same family car, whether it’s a Mitsubishi or Renault. One car maker can beat the other one in some extras such as electric folding mirrors, built-in car dvd player or the delivery terms. For example, in case with Toyota, you can placer an order on Monday and have your car ready and customized to your requirements on Saturday. I call it added value!
