Boat owners are feeling the pain of higher gasoline, which already has broken $4-a-gallon at the pump for cars and is close to $5 at some inland marinas.
Fewer, shorter outings Merritt estimates it now costs an average $200 for fuel for a day on the water. That includes ''the fuel that it takes to get the boat to the body of water.''
